" Thoamada is a Khmer expression which means things are natural, habitual, okay, or the usual. The series portrays personal sto- ries of nine Khmer men who have sex with men which collected during an intense work- shop. The aim is to build intimate public dia- logue about and among the LGBT communi- ties. Each participant was asked to make a facepaint to express their identity. The results are very personal and meaningful. One parti- cipant painted his face as a cat, which cap- tured his affinity towards the feline and his cat-like personality. Everyone was free to be the creators of their own stories."
